Junior Office Assistant -

Application is invited for Combined Recruitment for 223 Advance Base Ordnance Depot, 17 Field Ammunition Depot & 23 Field Ammunition Depot from eligible candidates to reach Commandant, 23 Field Ammunition Depot, PIN-909723, C/o 56 APO by Ordinary/Registered/Speed post within 21 days from the date of publication (excluding the date of publication) of this advertisement in Employment News (for example, 1-7 Jan 2019, 02 Jan 2019 will be counted as a first day) as per the format attached as Appendix ‘A’. The scale of pay number of vacancies, educational qualification and other requirements are as under:-

1. Junior Office Assistant (Erstwhile LDC)

2. Salary : Pay Scale Rs 19900/- Rs 63200/- Level -02

3. Qua : 12th class or equivalent from the recognized University/Board.

4. Unit wise vacs on various category : Tentative vacancies on various categories of UR/SC/ST/OBC (PH/MSP/ESM) are appended below. 

Age: 18-25 Years

Multi Tasking Staff -

1. MTS (Erstwhile Safaiwala)

2. Salary : Pay Scale Rs 18000/- Rs 56900/- Level -01

3. Qua : 10th class or equivalent from recognized University/Board.

4. Desirable :- Conversant with the duties of the trade with one year experience in the trade.

Firemen -

1. Firemen (Male candidates only)

Age: 18-25 Years

Documents Required :-

(a) Birth Certificate.
(b) Medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner for physical fitness.
(c) Caste Certificate as per Appendix ‘H’.
(d) Education Certificates alongwith the marks sheets (Matriculation onwards).
(e) Photocopy of Discharge certificate for Ex-Servicemen.
(f) Disability certificate for physically Handicapped issued by CMO/civil Surgeon of Govt Hospital as per Appendix ‘F’.
(g) Domicile Certificate (for residents of Jammu UT, Kashmir UT & Laddakh UT availing age relaxation, as applicable).
(h) Certificate of the competition for Meritorious Sports Persons where applicable.
(j) Two additional passport size photographs.
(k) Certificate/under taking for employment in any unit as per Appendix ‘B’.
(l) In case of Sports person, please attach ‘Sports Certificate’ as per Appendix ‘D’.
(m) In case of OBC, please attach ‘Non Creamy Layer’ certificate as per Appendix ‘G’. If verification reveals incorrect claim the candidates will be terminated forthwith without assigning any further reasons.
(n) Income & asset certificate to be produced by economically weaker section as per Appendix ‘E’. Note 5 :- Central Govt civilian employees must furnish ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer/office with application else their candidature will be cancelled.

General Instructions :-

1. SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates have a right to compete with general candidates against general vacancies. In such cases no concession or relaxation will be provided to the SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.
2. No extra weightage is to be given for additional/extra/higher qualification.
3. Place of Work. Individual should be willing to serve in 223 ABOD, 17 FAD & 23 FAD if selected including all India/field service liability.
4. Vacancies may increase or decrease, if additional vacancies are released or reduced by Competent authority.
5. Rejection. The following act’s/omission would render a candidate/applications disqualified:- (a) Furnishing of false, inaccurate or tempered information. (b) Obtaining support for his candidature through unfair means. (c) Impersonation by any person. (d) Submitting fabricated documents. (e) Making statements, which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information. (f) Resorting to any other irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for the selection. (g) Improper filling of applications. (h) Any other reason as observed by the Board of Officers. (j) If mandatory undertaking is not found attached with the application showing willingness to serve in 223 ABOD, 17 FAD & 23 FAD. Format of the willingness certificate is attached as per Appendix ‘B’.
6. Selected candidates will be given an appointment letter by the AOC Records for Fireman & Junior Office Assistant (Erstwhile LDC). Appointment letter by Commandant of their respective unit for Tradesman (Mate) & MTS (Erstwhile Safaiwala) subject to receipt of verification of character and antecedents from concerned District Magistrates, Supdt of Police and medical fitness certificate from medical authorities. 7. Post is permanent, subject to completion of two years probation period successfully by the individual.
8. Central employees appointed in Govt Services on or after 01 Jan 2014 will be governed by new defined contribution pension scheme.
9. Any dispute with regard to recruitment will be subject to jurisdiction of Jalandhar court only.
10. Registration of application by no means is a guarantee of employment.

Selection Procedure :-

1. Selection will be made strictly on the merit basis.
2. Conduct of Physical Endurance / Skill Test
3. Endurance Test for Ex-Servicemen
4. Written Test.

Steps to Apply :-

1. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidates. No inquiry or correspondence will be entertained.
2. Dates for physical endurance tests/written test for all categories will be intimated in the CALL LETTERS by Commandant, 23 FAD only to individuals whose applications received through Ordinary post/ Registered post/ Speed post and are found correct in all respects after scrutiny by Commandant, 23 FAD.
3. The application should be addressed to Commandant, 23 FAD, PIN909723, C/o 56 APO recd through Ordinary post/ Registered post/ Speed post. No application will be accepted by hand. Board will not be responsible for loss of any application in transit and for postal delay. No TA/DA will be paid for any test. The candidates themselves will make arrangement for boarding and lodging. No 8 application will be entertained after the due date. While forwarding the application, the envelope should be clearly marked, “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF Tradesman (Mate)/Junior Office Assistant (Erstwhile LDC)/Fireman (EXSERVICEMEN/ GEN/ EWS/PH/ MSP/ SC/ ST/OBC)” (Delete whichever is not applicable). (Quoting of Postal Index Number (PIN) & Category are mandatory).
4. Last date for receipt of application is 21 days from the date of publication (excluding the date of publication) of the advertisement in the employment news. Since employment news is published for a week (for example, 1-7 Jan 2019, 02 Jan 2019 will be counted as a first day as per para 25 of SOP issued by IHQ of MoD (Army) OS8C vide their letter No A/23801/32/Policy/OS-8C(i) dt 03 Jul 2015)
5. The candidate should be in possession of all original documents/certificates as given /applicable in Para 13 above.
6. Incomplete/ineligible application like without affixing photographs, mismatching photographs, applicants found overage/underage on last date of receipt of application as indicated above will be deemed invalid and rejected without intimation to the candidate. Only eligible candidates will be called for the first examination. 
7. In case of large number of applications for one category of post, screening of applications on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the exam of essential qualification for the post will be carried out to reduce the number of candidates to a reasonable limit. The candidates who fail to qualify in the physical test (wherever applicable) shall not be permitted to undergo written test. Short listing of candidates for interview shall be carried out based on the performance in written exam and physical test/skill test (wherever applicable).
8. There will be simultaneous conduct of test for all categories & one applicant must apply for only one category. The reasonability of deciding the category, for which the candidate would like to appear will be the choice of the applicant himself. No separate exam will conducted for candidates applying for more than one category. Rejection of application from one candidate from more than one category will be at discretion of Board of Officers.
9. Unit will not be responsible to pay any compensation in case of injury/death of a candidate during and after physical tests and also reserve the right to reschedule the date of Physical /Skill test/Written test due to strike/bandh/curfew/bad weather/any other administrative reasons.
10. It is made clear that merely fulfilling the basic essential qualification requirements does not automatically entitle a person to be called for tests. The selection will be made strictly on the merit basis. The decision of appointing authority regarding selection/rejection will be final. It is also made clear that the number of posts/vacancies are tentative and recruitment process can be cancelled/suspended/terminated by the Commandant at any stage due to administrative reasons.
