Senior Resident -

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh invites ONLINE applications from Indian Nationals for filling up of 103 posts of Senior Residents, 02 posts of Senior Medical Officer (Casualty in Emergency) and 12 posts of Jr. /Sr. Demonstrators in different specialities in PGIMER, Chandigarh; 15 posts of Senior Residents, 8 posts of Demonstrators in different specialities in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bathinda, Punjab, and 15 posts of Senior Residents, 8 posts of Demonstrators in different specialities in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh for a maximum period up to 03 years as per details given below: 

1. Qualification : Senior Resident (Anaesthesia, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Dermatology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine/ General Medicine, Medical Microbiology, Obst. & Gynae., Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Radio-diagnosis, Radiotherapy, ENT)
a. Qualification : Essential: a) A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in subsection (3) of Section 13 of the Act). b) The candidate must be registered with the State/Central Medical Council. c) A postgraduate qualification e.g. M.D./M.S. in the subject of speciality concerned of an Indian University or qualifications recognized equivalent thereto
b. Senior Resident, Deptt. of Oral Health Science Centre / Dentistry - Essential: a) A recognized Dental qualifications included in the Part-I or Part-III of the Schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part-I or Part-III of schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (1) and (2) or (4) of Section 10 of the Dentist Act, 1948). b) The candidate must be registered with the Central/State Dental Council. c) Postgraduate qualifications in the speciality concerned viz., M.D.S. in any of the speciality of Dentistry of an Indian University or its equivalent qualifications.
c. Senior Resident, Deptt. of Forensic Medicine - Essential: a) A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in Part-II of third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in subsection 3 of Section 13 of the Act). b) The candidate must be registered with the State/Central Medical Council. c) A postgraduate qualification e.g. MD (Forensic Medicine) OR MD (Pathology) OR MD/MS (Anatomy) OR MS (General Surgery) of an Indian University or qualifications recognized equivalent thereto.
d. Senior Resident, Deptt. of Hospital Administration - Essential: a) A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act). b) Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council. c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD/MS OR a recognized qualification equivalent thereto, in any medical discipline OR Master Degree in Hospital Administration from a recognized Institute/University OR a recognized qualification equivalent thereto.
e. Senior Resident, Deptt. of Nuclear Medicine - Essential: a) A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act). b) Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council. c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD/DNB (Nuclear Medicine) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.
f. Senior Resident, Deptt. of Renal Transplant Surgery - Essential: a) A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act). b) Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council. c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MS (General Surgery) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.
g. Senior Resident, Deptt. of Transfusion Medicine - Essential: a) A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act). b) Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council. c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD (Transfusion Medicine) OR MD (Pathology) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.
h. Senior Resident, Deptt. of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation -  Essential: a) A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act). b) Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council. c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD (PRM) / MD (Sports Medicine as a qualifying degree) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.

2. Salary : Level-11 in Pay Matrix with a minimum of Rs.67,700/- + NPA

Age: 40 Years.

Senior Medical Officer -

1. Essential: a) A Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or Part-II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (person possessing qualifications included in the Part-II of the third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section 13 (3) of the Act). b) Must be registered with the Central/State Medical Council. c) A Postgraduate degree i.e. MD/MS (Medicine/Surgery) in the specialty concerned or its equivalent.

2. Salary : Level-11 in Pay Matrix with a minimum of Rs.67,700/- + NPA.

Age: 40 Years

Junior/ Senior Demonstrator -

1. Qualification : 
a. For Senior Demonstrator:- i) M.Sc. in subject concerned. ii) Ph.D. in the subject concerned/allied subject
b. For Junior Demonstrator:- M.Sc. in the subject concerned.

2. Salary :
a. Level-06 in Pay Matrix with a minimum of Rs.35,400/- + NPA.
b. Level-11 in Pay Matrix with a minimum of Rs.67,700/- + NPA.

Age: 40 years

Senior Demonstrator - MS/MD, M.A, M.Sc, MVSC, M.Phil/Ph.D

Application Fee :-

Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): Exempted from payment of fee. SC/ST category: Rs. 500/- plus Transaction Charges as applicable. For all others including General/ OBC/EWS: Rs. 1000/- plus Transaction Charges as applicable.

Note :-

i. Candidates are advised to fill their application form carefully such as Name, Father’s/Mother’s name, Date of Birth and Category, Qualification, marks obtained, passing year, photo, Signature, details, etc. No request for change of any particular on the online application form shall be entertained by the PGIMER after submission of application form.
ii. After final submission of application form, no change will be allowed. Candidate will be responsible for any mistake in the data of application form and fees paid by him/her.
iii. In case candidate feels that he/she has filled up the form erroneously, he/she should register himself/ herself afresh and fill up a fresh online application form alongwith fresh requisite fee before closing date. However, for second and subsequent registration(s), different mobile number and email ID are to be used each time.
iv. A candidate can apply for the post of Sr. Resident/ Demonstrator, as the case may be, in one Dep only. If a candidate having eligibility for a post in more than one department, has applied separately for posts in more than one department, his/her request to appear for Computer Based Test for all posts/departments will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
v. In respect of the post(s)/department which are common among any two or all the three Institutes, a candidate shall have the option to apply for any one or more Institute(s). For this, he/she has to mandatorily mention his/her order of preferences while filling the online application form. However, in the absence of any choice/ preference for a particular Institute, the candidature of a candidate shall not be considered for the concerned Institute.

General Instructions :-

(i) A candidate willing to apply is required to visit www.pgimer.edu.in and to submit his/ her ONLINE Application in the prescribed format after registering himself/ herself.
(ii) Apply online well in advance without waiting for last date of submission of online application form.
(iii) Candidates applying for a post must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility conditions on the last date of application. Candidates who do not fulfill the qualifications/eligibility conditions on cut-off date, their application shall not be accepted by the online application system
(iv) A candidate whether he belongs to unreserved (General) or reserved viz. SC, ST, OBC, EWS or PwBD, can submit online application form under one particular category of post advertised. Submission of more than one application form will automatically lead to rejection of candidature.
(v) Candidate should fill in the Online Application with utmost care and by following the instructions step by step. Candidate should fill in the Online Application form correctly. Incorrect filled application form may leads to rejection.

Selection Procedure :-

1. The scheme of marks in respect of selection to the posts shall comprise of total 100 marks, as detailed below:
a. Written Exam (Computer Based Test) 75
b. Departmental interview & assessment 25

Steps to Apply :-

The candidates can deposit the above application fee through online payment gateway available at the SR/ Demonstrator APPLICATION portal w.e.f. 25.11.2019 to 09.12.2019 using Debit/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. All applicants are advised to read these Guidelines and the Help Manual carefully before starting online registration and ensure that no column is left blank and all the columns in the REGISTRATION FORM i.e. Advt. No., Advt. Date, Name of Applicant, Date of Birth, Email id & mobile number are filled in correctly as once registered these columns will not be allowed to be changed. In the event of any INCORRECT entries filled by the candidate, rejection of the application form, no correspondence/ request for reconsideration will be entertained.
